You could queue up for your own game, but the timing of both games ending hardly ever worked out.It seems like players have been requesting a spectate feature since Fortnite first launched. Finally, with the release of Fortnite Chapter 2, we got our wish.
You are now able to spectate your friends while you’re waiting for them to finish their match. This is just another in a long line of quality-of-life improvements that Epic added to Fortnite Chapter 2.There are a couple of caveats to the spectator system. It’s a bit buggy, so don’t expect to load-in and start coaching right away. It will take a minute for everything to render.You also have to make sure your friend has been in the match for at least 30 seconds. If they’re still at the starting island, you won’t be able to spectate them.
